The worst kind of loneliness is feeling unheard

1 support1 reactions1 replies
I talk to people every day. Friends, colleagues, even family. But I still feel like no one really understands me. Conversations stay on the surface. Jokes, updates, random stuff. But the things that actually matter… I keep them to myself. Not because I want to. But because I don’t know how they’ll be received. So I just listen to everyone else instead. And over time, that just makes you feel invisible. Does anyone else feel alone even when they’re not alone?

Yeah… that kind of loneliness hits different. It’s not about having people around, it’s about feeling safe enough to be real with them. Sometimes it’s not that no one will understand… it’s that you haven’t found the right space yet. You deserve conversations that go deeper than the surface.
