Earning ₹5 Lakhs a Month, But Completely Empty Inside: Is This Life?

0 support0 reactions0 replies
I know people will read this and roll their eyes. They’ll say, "You have money, you have a family, what right do you have to complain?" Maybe they’re right. But I need to write this somewhere anonymously, because out loud, nobody would understand. I am 32. I built my own business from scratch, and I pull in 4 to 6 lakhs every single month. On paper, I won the game. I don’t have debt. My parents are alive and healthy. My wife is kind, my son is happy, and as a family of five, we want for nothing. They take genuine care of me, and every waking hour of my labor goes into securing their comfort, their safety, and their future. So why do I feel like a ghost? Most days, I feel like I’m running an engine in an empty room. Nobody really knows me, and I don’t know anyone. I look ahead at the next 10, 20, 30 years, and there’s no horizon—just an endless cycle of responsibilities, bills paid, smiles sustained, and duties completed. I live entirely for other people's peace, but I have never tasted my own. I don’t know what my personal happiness looks like anymore. I don’t even remember what brings me joy when I'm not playing the provider, the son, the husband, or the father. Days turn into nights, weeks blur into months, and the scary realization is that my youth is quietly slipping away while I stand frozen at the wheel. Has anyone else reached the exact financial and family milestone they prayed for, only to realize their soul feels completely untouched by it? How do you rediscover yourself without feeling guilty for not being satisfied with a "perfect" life? #InnerPeace #ProviderBurnout #MidLifeCrisis #MentalHealth #Confessions #MensMentalHealth

A short reply is enough. People usually need to feel understood before they need advice.
