Funny how things worked out… didn’t expect this

I didn’t think I’d be saying this a few weeks ago, but things actually turned out better than I expected. I had a bit of a fallout with my closest friend recently. It wasn’t one big fight, just a lot of small things building up. We stopped talking properly, started avoiding each other, and it got awkward really fast. What made it worse was that we’re in the same group, so it wasn’t like we could completely ignore each other. It just created this weird tension where everything felt off. At first, I was honestly just irritated. I kept replaying things in my head, thinking about what they did wrong and how they should’ve handled it differently. But after a few days, that anger kind of settled… and I started realizing I probably wasn’t completely right either. Still, I didn’t know how to fix it. It felt too awkward to just go and talk normally again. Then something random happened. We both ended up working on the same school thing together. No choice, just got paired. The first few minutes were super awkward. Like proper silence, only talking about the task. But slowly, it just started feeling normal again. A small joke here and there, a random comment… and suddenly it didn’t feel so tense anymore. At one point, we both just laughed at something stupid, and it felt like everything just reset. No big “let’s talk this out” moment. No dramatic apology. Just… things easing back into place. And weirdly, I think the friendship feels a bit better now. Like we both understand each other a little more. I guess not every problem needs a big solution. Sometimes you just need time and a small moment to break the tension. Didn’t think I’d be happy about this so soon, but I am.

A short reply is enough. People usually need to feel understood before they need advice.
